Passengers and crew of the plane at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam were safely evacuated, officials said, reports Reuters.
The Spanish airline "Air Europa" announced that the pilot accidentally turned on the alarm.
The authorities announced that they were investigating a "suspicious situation".
The spokesman of the military police did not want to give statements or details about the flight and the airline.
The British tabloid "San" previously reported that there was a fear that it was an attempt to hijack the plane.
Twitter users write that the pilot of the plane pressed the alarm button during the boarding of passengers, that several helicopters are flying over the airport. In the videos, it could be seen that several emergency services vehicles were also on the runway.
Some users of social networks stated that it was an attempt to hijack the plane, that it was allegedly being attempted by a "man armed with a knife", but there are no official confirmations of this.
