The Dutch police announced today that they arrested two people suspected of preparing a terrorist attack in the Netherlands at the end of the year.
"The police arrested two men, aged 20 and 34, originally from the vicinity of The Hague, and they are suspected of preparing a terrorist attack," the Dutch prosecutor's office stated.
The police, who found neither explosives nor firearms, stated that they found an axe, a knife and mobile phones on one of the arrested.
The prosecution states that, according to intelligence, the two were preparing an attack, probably with a car bomb, and added that there is still a threat of jihadist attacks in the Netherlands.
