Germany's extreme right-wing party Alternative for Germany (AfD) elected Tino Chrupalla as the new co-president of the party today at the congress, DPA reported.
Krupala (44) will replace Aleksander Gauland (78) as co-president of the party.
Joerg Meuthen was elected as the second co-president.

About 20.000 people gathered today in the center of Braunschweig to protest against the holding of the congress, according to the organizers of the meeting.
The AfD is the third political force in the German parliament (Bundestag) after the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and the Social Democratic Party (SPD).
According to polls, between 13 and 15 percent of voters would vote for the AfD.
