Jihadists of the Islamic State today claimed responsibility for a knife attack on Friday in London where two people were killed, the Amaq agency close to the jihadists reported.
"The perpetrator of the attack on Friday in London is one of the fighters of the Islamic State. The attack is a response to our call for the targets to be residents of the countries of the international coalition" that is fighting the jihadists, the Amak agency stated.
The British police announced earlier today that the man who killed two people and wounded three others in London is Usman Khan (28), who was serving a prison sentence for terrorism.
He was shot dead by police on London Bridge on Friday after a knife attack.
Police have declared the knife attack and gunshots heard on London Bridge an act of terrorism.
