The district court in Moscow today issued an arrest warrant for nine people from the Commonwealth of Independent States, suspected of being connected to a terrorist group.

They are suspected of spreading the ideology of a terrorist organization on the territory of Russia with the aim of inciting rebellion, as well as of recruiting local Muslims and migrants working in Russia, reports Tass.

Eight men and one woman were arrested and face 10 to 20 years in prison.

The press service of the court confirmed that nine people, members of the international terrorist group Hizb ut-Tahrir, were arrested.

It was announced earlier that the Russian Federal Security Forces, together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, arrested two leaders and seven active members of the Hizb ut-Tahrir group in Moscow and in the city of Chelyabinsk in the Urals, and that among the arrested were citizens of Russia and Central Asian countries.
