Seven people were killed when a small police plane crashed today in eastern Turkey, Interior Minister Suleiman Soylu said.
While returning from a reconnaissance mission, the plane disappeared from radar over the mountains in Van province, near the border with Iran.
The minister said that the wreckage of the plane was found.
All those killed, including the two pilots, were members of the Turkish security forces.
The investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
