The British royal family today thanked people who attended or watched the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at St George's Church in Windsor Castle.
"Thank you to everyone who came to Windsor and to those who followed the wedding across the UK, the Commonwealth and the world," the statement said.
The family tweeted their thanks late last night as Prince Harry and his bride attended a private wedding reception hosted by Harry's father, Britain's Crown Prince Charles.
Kensington Palace has not released details of the reception, but pictures show Meghan Markle, now officially the Duchess of Sussex, wearing a blue stone ring that belonged to Harry's mother Princess Diana that evening.
The newlyweds spent their first night as a married couple at Windsor Castle. They won't go on their honeymoon right away.
