Hunter Biden is the son of Joseph Biden, who is the candidate of the Democratic Party for the President of the United States of America (USA) and the opponent of the current President of the USA Donald Trump in the presidential elections on November 3.
With this statement, Putin showed disagreement with Trump, who often uses Hunter Biden's affairs to attack Joseph Biden in the campaign, according to NBC.
Putin made the statement in response to Trump's comments that the US president made in a debate with Joseph Biden.
Trump, who is trailing Biden in the polls, used the debate to accuse Hunter and Joseph Biden of being involved in unethical dealings in Ukraine.
He offered no evidence for the allegations, and Joseph Biden called them false.
Putin, who has praised Trump in the past, saying he wants better ties with Moscow, said Russia would work with any American leader.
