Attacks in the Irish city of Dundalk, one person arrested: Possibly terrorism

In the Irish city of Dundalk, south of the border with Northern Ireland, a Japanese citizen was attacked from behind on the street and died on the spot, reports Tanjug.

In addition, in other parts of the city, at least two people were injured in attacks with an iron rod.

The police hinted at the possibility that it was terrorism.

One man was arrested, reports AP referring to local media.

The investigation is ongoing.
