A 4,7 magnitude earthquake hit Greece

An earthquake measuring 4,7 degrees on the Richter scale hit the Greek districts of Etoria-Akarnania, Achaia and Phocis in the south and west of the country shortly after midnight, the Athens Geodynamic Institute announced.

The epicenter of the earthquake was 14 kilometers from the city of Aegio, in the district of Achaia in the Peloponnese, at a depth of 4,3 kilometers, reports the ANA agency.

The European-Mediterranean Seismological Center announced that the magnitude of the earthquake was 4,9 degrees.

An aftershock of magnitude 4,3 occurred in the same area 30 minutes after the first one.

For now, there is no information about possible damage or injuries.
