Prince Philip, husband of Britain's Queen Elizabeth II, will be buried on April 17 at Windsor Castle in the presence of his family, Buckingham Palace officials said.
It was stated that Philip, who held the title of Duke of Edinburgh, was involved in planning his own funeral and that he himself wanted the public not to attend.
He died yesterday, at the age of 100.
Prince Harry, who currently lives in California after stepping down from his duties as a member of the royal family last year, will also attend Philip's funeral.
His wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, was advised by her doctor not to travel to Great Britain because she is pregnant.
It was also stated that the ceremony will be held in accordance with the measures to fight the coronavirus epidemic, which stipulate a limit on the number of people at funerals.
