European Union (EU) members are well on their way to vaccinating at least 70 percent of the adult population by mid-July, said the President of the European Parliament, David Sasoli.
He said he expects rapid progress in vaccination against the coronavirus in Europe.
"In the meantime, more than 237 million doses of approved vaccines have been delivered throughout Europe. EU members are well on their way to vaccinating at least 70 percent of the adult population by mid-July," Sasoli told the German media group Funke.
He said that the digital vaccination certificate, which will enable the summer and travel to take place safely, will come into force on July 1, reports Tanjug.
According to Sasoli, it is a huge step towards returning to normal life.
