British officials have signed a decision to postpone the restrictions introduced due to the coronavirus epidemic until after June 21.
Government sources told the BBC that the latest rules would remain in place for another four weeks after this date.
This means nightclubs will remain closed and employees will be encouraged to continue working from home whenever possible.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson is expected to announce this decision at a press conference later in the day.
