Five workers were killed and nine injured when a school under reconstruction collapsed in the Belgian city of Antwerp, local authorities announced today.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
Five injured workers were hospitalized, three are in intensive care and one was released, the local fire service announced on Twitter.
King Philippe of Belgium and Prime Minister Alexandre de Croix visited the accident site.
Among the workers were citizens of Portugal, Romania and Ukraine, Belgian media reported.
