In Slovenia, civil servants must have proof of vaccination by October 1

All employees in the state administration in Slovenia will have to be vaccinated against covid-19 because a negative test for the coronavirus will no longer be sufficient for them to come to work, as for other unvaccinated citizens, the Slovenian government has decided. To be able to continue working, employees in the state administration, if they have not been vaccinated or have already suffered from the disease, will have to prove that they received the first dose of the vaccine by October 1, and the second dose by November 1, unless they opt for the vaccine Johnson and Johnson, which provides protection after one dose, reports Hina.

The decision by which it wants to set an example for all other citizens to get vaccinated as soon as possible was made by the government late last night at a correspondence session, and will be explained in more detail today at a press conference. The tightening of anti-epidemic measures, according to which it is necessary to have a covid vaccination certificate or a negative test for work, public transport, going to a shopping center, bank or post office, and a number of other activities, has been in effect since Wednesday.
