Brazilian football players, who play in Ukraine, for Dinamo and Shakhtar, and who were accommodated with their families in a hotel shelter in Kiev, set off on a journey full of uncertainty - by train to Romania.
The wife of the defender of Shakhtar Marlon - Marija Sousa - published a video crying from the Opera Hotel, which is located in Kiev and is only two kilometers from the railway station.
"We're leaving here now. The embassy announced that three trains will leave. We're going in a convoy to the station, but at our own risk. No one can guarantee our safety. Everything is very scary," she said.
The Brazilians initially refused to go by train due to safety reasons, but faced with a complicated situation in the hotel and in Kyiv itself, they decided to take the risk.
According to media reports, many soccer players in Ukraine were trapped in hotels and no longer had contact with their clubs.
