Swiss airspace is "closed until further notice" due to a computer malfunction, the air traffic control service Skyguide announced this morning.
"Skyguide, the Swiss air traffic control service, experienced a technical failure in the early hours of the morning, as a result of which the Swiss airspace was closed to traffic for security reasons," Skyguide said in a statement.
The company has not released details about the outage.
According to the agency ATS-Kistone, international flights to Switzerland have been diverted to the airport in Milan, in the north of Italy.
