The euro fell to its lowest level against the dollar today due to uncertainty surrounding the European economy and the closure of the Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline by Russia's Gazprom.
The European currency fell by 0,70 percent, so that at 7:35 a.m. CET this morning, one euro was worth 0,9884 dollars.
This is the lowest level of the euro against the dollar since December 2002.
