Hungary has sufficient gas reserves thanks to deliveries from Russia, but numerous other European countries will not be able to survive the winter without Russian fuel, announced Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijártó.
In an interview with RIA Novosti, he said that he cannot speak on behalf of other countries, but that Hungary, if Russian gas deliveries stop, will not be able to cope with the winter, reports Capital.ba.
Sijarto called on his colleagues in Europe to, as he stated, be realistic, because the problems in the energy sector are not of a political, ideological or fictitious nature.
"These are real problems and we have to take them seriously," Sijarto said.
