The Kremlin has announced that there can be no question of any Russian involvement in the alleged far-right plot to overthrow the German state.
"It seems that this is an internal German problem, there can be no question of any Russian interference," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
Twenty-five people were arrested this morning in raids across Germany on suspicion of plotting a coup. The German media wrote that extreme right-wingers and former members of the army were planning to break into the parliament and take over power.
Among those detained are 22 German citizens, while one Russian citizen is suspected of supporting the organization.
He was allegedly seen by this German group as their central contact for establishing a new order. .
