German police announced that they have ended the hostage crisis in Dresden, reports Reuters.
In a post on Twitter, the police stated that after the operation, the hostage crisis was over and that the two hostages were rescued, without giving further details, adds Reuters.
Earlier, the police evacuated the shopping center and its surroundings in this city in the east of Germany.
German daily Bild reported that the gunman first killed the woman, then burst into a local radio station and fired several shots before fleeing to a shopping center where he took several hostages.
The police then called on citizens to avoid the city center.
