Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said today that the West will endlessly try to destroy Russia and announced the possible formation of a new military alliance at the global level.
"After the meeting in Ramstein and supplying Kiev with heavy weapons, there is no doubt that our enemies will endlessly try to break us or even destroy us. And they have enough weapons for that. They could also start producing new ones, if necessary," he said on Telegram Medvedev, who is now the deputy chairman of the Security Council of Russia.
As reported by TASS, he stated that in case of a "prolonged conflict" a new military alliance may be formed, which will consist of countries that are "annoyed by the Americans".
According to him, the world will become a "stable place" again when the US leaves Europe and "what will be left of the poor Ukrainians, unless it's too late."
Countries supporting Kiev militarily agreed on Friday at a meeting at Ramstein Air Base in Germany to send more armored vehicles, air defense systems and ammunition.
Kiev has asked Berlin to deliver Leopard 2 tanks, which Germany has not yet decided because the West fears, despite assurances from the Ukrainians, that Kiev could escalate the conflict by using the weapon to strike deep into Russian territory and against air and naval bases in Crimea, a peninsula that was annexed by Russia in 2014.
