Due to a false alarm, British Airways passengers were evacuated at the airport in Paris

The security warning on the British Airways plane from which the passengers were evacuated at the Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris was false, the police said.

"The dogs checked the plane and found no threat," the police said, according to Reuters.

The plane was supposed to fly to London's Heathrow Airport.

One of the passengers said earlier that the plane was surrounded by dozens of armed policemen and firefighters.

Allegedly, the pilot first told the passengers that there were technical problems, and an hour later that the plane had to be moved to another part of the airport, when the policemen surrounded the plane.

The passenger said "the pilot then said there was a direct security threat to the flight".
