All NATO members agree that Ukraine should become a member of that alliance, but the question is when it will happen, said the Secretary General of the Alliance, Jens Stoltenberg.
He said that all allies agree that Ukraine will become a member of NATO and that it has the right to choose its own path.
"And that it is not up to Moscow, but up to Kiev, to decide on that," Stoltenberg told The Washington Times.
According to him, all allies say that NATO's door is open.
"But I cannot say exactly when Ukraine will become a member of the Alliance," said Stoltenberg.
He added that NATO is currently cooperating with Kiev and helping in the transition from Soviet-era equipment and doctrine to the Alliance's doctrine and standards.
