Kemal Kilicdaroglu, the opposition candidate in the presidential elections in Turkey, said that he will accept the people's decision in the second round of voting on May 28.
As reported by Reuters, he added that the current president Recep Tayyip Erdogan did not get the result he wanted in the first round of the presidential elections that took place yesterday.
With almost 97 percent of the ballots counted, Erdogan led with 49,39 percent of the votes, and Kilicdaroglu had 44,92 percent, reports Reuters.

The election would go to a second round if no candidate has more than 50 percent of the vote.
"I will beat Erdogan in the second round," Kilicdaroglu added.
On the other hand, Erdogan has no doubt that he will continue to lead Turkey even after 20 years.
"We are already ahead of our closest rival by 2,6 million votes. We expect this figure to increase with the official results," Erdogan said.
