The capital of Russia was the target of an attack by an unmanned aerial vehicle (drone) early this morning, in which "minor" damage was caused to buildings and in which there were no victims, according to the mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin.
"This morning at dawn, a drone attack caused minor damage to several buildings," Sobyanin said on Telegram.
He added that all the city's emergency services are on the scene and that "no one has been seriously injured so far."
Reuters reports that Sobyanjin said that two people sought medical help.
The agency states that Andrei Vorobyov, the governor of the Moscow region, said on the Telegram channel that several drones were shot down as they approached Moscow.
It was not immediately clear who launched the drones, according to Reuters.
Several Russian channels reported on Telegram that four to 10 drones were targeted on the outskirts of Moscow and in its immediate region.
