The Russian National Guard will be equipped with heavy weapons and tanks in the future. The news was announced by the head of the National Guard Viktor Zolotov after the speech of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Zolotov added that he had also discussed the matter with Putin and praised members of the Guard for their role in suppressing the weekend riots in Russia.
