A large explosion rocked the Krasnodar district in southern Russia, near a military air base.
As Al Jazeera Balkans reports, images on the messaging platform Telegram show a large crater in the city of Primorsky-Akhtarsk and a plume of smoke.
Krasnodar Mayor Veniamin Kondratiev said the incident was being investigated and there were no casualties.
Krasnodar borders the Sea of Azov and is close to Crimea, which Russia illegally annexed from Ukraine in 2014.
