Six people died and more than 60 were injured in a fire in a home for the elderly in Milan, Italian news agencies reported.
The news agency ANSA announced that the fire broke out on Thursday around 11.20:XNUMX a.m. and added that firefighters are at the scene of the accident, Reuters reported.
Luka Kari, a spokesman for the national fire service, confirmed the death toll to Reuters, saying the fire had been extinguished and that its causes were being investigated.
He added that three hospitalized people are in critical condition, 15 with serious injuries that are not life-threatening and about 50 with minor injuries.
Earlier, Italian news agencies reported that 81 people were hospitalized, including two who were in critical condition.
