Russia said today it shot down two Ukrainian drones near Moscow, one near the main airport south of the city and one west of the capital, reports Reuters.
"An attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack by drones over the territory of the Moscow Region was prevented," the Russian Ministry of Defense announced.
The mayor of Moscow, Sergey Sobyanin, said that two drones were destroyed by anti-aircraft defense (PVO).
"One was shot down near Domodedovo, where one of Russia's largest international airports is located, and the other near the highway in Minsk," Sobyanin said.
