A large fire that broke out today in a fertilizer warehouse in the city of Ramenskoe in the Moscow region in Russia has been extinguished, Russian news agencies reported, citing the Russian emergency service, reports Reuters.
The fire covered an area of 2.700 square meters before it was localized and extinguished, the Russian state news agency RIA reported.
Videos of the fire previously posted online show thick black smoke and flames, which can be seen from hundreds of meters away.
The Prosecutor's Office of the Moscow Region announced that the preliminary cause of the fire was a violation of fire safety requirements during welding, the state news agency TASS reported.
All employees have left the premises, the agency reported, referring to the owners of the warehouse.
