Britain today issued a terror warning to its citizens traveling to Sweden after the burning of holy books by anti-Islam activists outraged Muslims.
The British Foreign Office announced that the Swedish authorities had successfully stopped some planned attacks and made arrests, writes Reuters.
"You should be alert at this time. Terrorists are likely to try to carry out attacks in Sweden," the statement said, adding that the target could be places visited by foreigners.
Swedish National Security Adviser Henrik Landerholm acknowledged the validity of Great Britain's announcement and reiterated that the burning of the holy book of the Koran threatened security in his country.
