In today's Russian attacks on the city of Kherson and two other settlements in the Kherson region, five residents were injured, Governor Oleksandr Prokudin announced, the Kyiv Independent reports.
The attacks targeted a school and a hospital in the city center.
Among the victims was a 55-year-old patient recovering from a stroke, the governor added.
Russian forces further targeted the village of Zelenivka, wounding a 45-year-old man, and Khreshchenovka, wounding a 60-year-old man, Prokudin said.
According to the governor, during the past day and night, six civilians were injured in Russia's attacks on the Kherson region.
The cargo ship left the Ukrainian port of Odesa, on the Black Sea coast, through a new maritime corridor established by Kiev despite Russian threats, the Ukrainian authorities announced today.
"The ship 'Joseph Schulte' has left the port of Odessa and is sailing through a temporary corridor established for civilian ships," Oleksandr Kubrakov, Ukraine's Minister of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development, said in a statement.
This is the first shipment that has left the port of Odessa since July 16, the minister said.
Russia has threatened that ships sailing to or from Ukrainian ports after the grain agreement expired in July would be potential military targets.
In response, Kiev announced that it would respond in kind to ships from Ukrainian ports occupied by Moscow.

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today that its forces shot down a Ukrainian drone over Crimea, Interfax reported, according to Reuters.
Russia annexed the Black Sea peninsula of Crimea from Ukraine in 2014.
Russian drones have damaged grain silos and warehouses in Ukraine's Reni river port on the Danube, a vital wartime export route for Ukrainian food, senior officials said today, Reuters reports.
Russian strikes on port infrastructure on the Danube in recent weeks have increased pressure on Ukrainian food exports after Moscow scrapped a year-old agreement that allowed Kiev to ship grain across the Black Sea.
"Russian terrorists attacked Odesa region twice with a drone last night," regional governor Oleh Kiper said on Telegram.
"The main goal is the port and grain infrastructure in the south of the region."
Photos released by the governor show destroyed metal warehouse walls and piles of scattered grain and sunflowers.
The strike was aimed at the port of Reni, Andriy Yermak, the chief of staff of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, wrote on Telegram.
There were no casualties, he said.
An industry source told Reuters the port continued to operate after the attack.
Ukraine's air force said it destroyed 13 Russian drones over Odesa and Mykolaiv regions in the south.
It was not immediately clear how many drones Russia had launched.
Ukrainian forces shot down 13 Russian Shahid-136/131 kamikaze drones during the night, the Air Force reported on August 16, the Kyiv Independent reports.
"The Russian aggressor attacked our peaceful cities and villages with drones. The protectors of the sky destroyed 13 Martyrs," the Air Force announced.
The Air Force also announced late on August 15 that Russia had launched several Shahid kamikaze drones from the Primorye-Akhtar air base in the Krasnodar region. Out of the total number, 11 drones were shot down over Odesa Oblast and two over Nikolaev Oblast," said local officials.

She added that the offensive in Donetsk continues.

Ukrainian forces have strengthened themselves on the outskirts of Urozhajn after recapturing a settlement in the Donetsk region from Russian forces, Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Hana Maliar said today, Reuters reports.
"Harvests freed," Malijar said on the Telegram messaging app.
"Our defenders are entrenched on the outskirts," she added.
Reuters could not independently verify the report.
There were no comments from Russia.
Fierce fighting has taken place in and around Urožajn and Staromajorska, about 60 miles southwest of Russian-held Donetsk, in recent days.
