The Ukrainian army announced today that it carried out a "series of successful" operations on the left bank of the Dnieper River, which was captured by Russian forces in the south of the country.
"Ukrainian defense forces have carried out a series of successful actions on the left bank of the Dnieper River" in the Kherson region (south), the Ukrainian naval command said on Facebook, without giving other details.
The Ukrainians recently managed to establish positions on the left bank of the Dnieper River in the part of the Kherson region that was occupied by the Russian army.
Ukraine's military hopes to launch a larger offensive to break through Russian front lines, which are resisting a counteroffensive launched in June.
