After the terrorist attack in Barcelona, the Polish Minister of the Interior, Mariusz Blaščak, asked that Europe finally wake up from the dream of accepting refugees and slam the door on terrorists, stating that Poland is safe from such attacks because it does not have Muslim ghettos.
"The refugee relocation system is a system that leads millions of people to come to Europe. It ends tragically. We are faced with a clash of civilizations. It is a problem for the whole of Europe, although Poland is safe because we do not implement the previous government's decision to accept refugees," he said. He pointed out that Europe must finally wake up, and as an example of how it should accept refugees and immigrants, he cited Australia, which accepts only selected ones.
"The only way to prevent a terrorist attack is to lock the door to terrorists. Europe must say directly: 'Those people will not come to us,'" Blaščak said.
As an illustration of how the European Union is unable to deal with terrorists, he cited a video from one of the beaches in Spain when a boat with refugees arrived and the police were unable to determine their identity.
"This process is ongoing. It is a problem for the whole of Europe. There are no such situations in Poland because there are no enclaves in Poland where people live who do not integrate into the place they came to. There are no effective procedures. This is the way these people act. The only possibility for that is for Europe to close the door," Blaščak said.
