Ukrainian forces announced today that they intercepted 41 out of 42 drones launched by Russia towards Ukraine. "Forty-one Shahed drones were destroyed, out of a total of 41," the Ukrainian Air Force said in a statement on Telegram.
The Russian army also fired S-300 missiles towards the southern regions of Kherson and Mykolaiv, the statement of the Ukrainian forces added.
Details about the consequences of these strikes are not given.
The drone and rocket attacks were during the night.
The Russian authorities announced today that the army neutralized nine Ukrainian drones that were launched towards Moscow, a few hours before the annual press conference of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"An attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack using drones on Russian territory was prevented," the Russian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
It added that "nine Ukrainian drones were destroyed or intercepted" over the Kalushka region, 160 kilometers from Moscow.
