The Ukrainian Air Force announced today that it had destroyed a Russian Navy ship in the Black Sea suspected of carrying Iranian drones used by Moscow in the war in Ukraine.
The "large landing ship Novocherkask" was destroyed, the Air Force announced on Telegram.
It is believed that the ship was carrying Iranian-made Shahed drones, which are used extensively by Russia in attacks on Ukraine.
Air Force Commander Nikola Oleschuk released a video showing an explosion at the Russian naval base of Feodosia in Crimea.
Russian authorities have confirmed that there was an attack on that base.
Ukrainian forces often carry out attacks on Russian military targets in Crimea. In April 2022, the Russian cruiser Moskva was sunk in attacks.
