On Tuesday, a train passed right by a pensioner who in an electric wheelchair overturned on the track she was crossing and she was almost unharmed, Swiss police reported on Wednesday.
The accident happened on Tuesday afternoon at the Kaiseraugst station, not far from Basel, in northwestern Switzerland, the police said.
Police say the 70-year-old woman was "very, very lucky in her accident" as she fell right between two tracks at the station. A train that passed one of them only brushed her.
The train blew a wheelchair to pieces, parts of which slightly injured the pensioner who is recovering in the hospital.
