Two people were killed, eight were wounded, and several are still missing after a Russian drone attack on an apartment block in Odessa, Ukrainian officials announced today.
"Russia continues to fight against civilians. One of the enemy drones hit an apartment building in Odessa. 18 apartments were destroyed," Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Telegram.
He called on partner countries to send Ukraine more weapons and technical means for its air defense.
"It is necessary to strengthen the Ukrainian air shield in order to provide our people with protection from Russian terror. More air defense systems, more missiles for air defense - this is what saves lives, he wrote and sent his condolences to the families of the victims, among whom, as he stated, one child.
He added that during the night Kharkiv and Sumy Oblasts were targeted by Iranian-made Shahed drones.
