Washington must show "political will" in order for Russian-American relations to improve, the spokesman of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, said today.
The Kremlin spokesman said that restoring relations would require the US to rid itself of "political schizophrenia" and refrain from "dictating with sanctions."
Russia, he added, remains interested in constructive cooperation with the US.
On Friday, the US Senate passed a bill on sanctions against Russia, after which Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered 755 American diplomats to leave Russia.
