Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) reported on Friday that its officers had "liquidated" a Ukrainian Military Intelligence agent who allegedly arrived from Lithuania to carry out "terrorist acts" against military and energy facilities in the Moscow and Leningrad regions.
The FSB did not reveal the identity of the "saboteur", but said he was a Russian citizen, born in 1976.
As stated by the FSB, "during the arrest, he offered armed resistance with firearms and was liquidated".
Ukraine has not yet commented on these allegations.
