The company Glovo, which deals with the delivery of food and other products, will stop working in Slovenia on May 10.
The Spanish company claims that it will help its employees during the transition period, which, they say, will be reflected in the search for suitable jobs in other companies, but also in the provision of severance pay.
Glovo has been operating in Slovenia since 2021, reports Nezavisne novine.
"After careful analysis, we have made the decision to end business in Slovenia. Glovo will focus its investments on strengthening its position in the 23 countries in which it operates, which will enable us to provide better service to the millions of users who use the Glovo application every day," they stated from Glova in the announcement.
The general director of Glovo Slovenia, Ana Fraile, thanked the clients, partners and deliverers, who she says will be informed about the closure in a timely manner.
"Glovo undertakes to support its employees in this transition period. This will be reflected in the search for suitable jobs in other Glovo offices, but also in the provision of severance payments that exceed the legal minimum," added Glovo.
At the end of last year, 19 people were employed in Glov in Slovenia.
