The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has announced that it has reached an agreement with Ukraine on a loan of 2,2 billion dollars.

The parties reached an agreement on the fourth revision of the four-year Extended Fund (EFF) arrangement with Ukraine, according to the IMF announcement.

The 48-month EFF arrangement, which was approved in March last year, provides access to around $15,6 billion and is part of a $122 billion support package for the war-torn country, SEEbiz reports.

"All quantitative performance criteria have been met, and structural review benchmarks have either been met or implemented with a short delay," the statement said, adding that agreements were also reached on an updated set of economic and financial policies to maintain macroeconomic stability and advance economic reform.

The Ukrainian economy achieved resilient growth, and disinflation continued during the first quarter of this year, the IMF announced.
