Russian President Vladimir Putin does not rule out negotiations with Ukraine, but guarantees will be needed to ensure the credibility of any negotiations, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said today, Russian news agencies reported.
More than 90 countries took part in the two-day event in the resort of Burgenstock in central Switzerland with the aim of unifying global opinion on how to end Russia's 27-month invasion of Ukraine.
Russia was not invited to those talks.
Putin said on June 14 that Russia would end the war in Ukraine only if Kiev agreed to abandon its NATO ambitions and fully surrender four areas claimed by Moscow. Ukraine immediately rejected those demands as tantamount to surrender.
