Polling stations opened this morning in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, in the extraordinary parliamentary elections.
The opposition Labor Party is expected to win the elections after 14 years of conservative rule.
Citizens will elect 650 members of the lower house of parliament, one in each of the 650 constituencies.
In each constituency, the candidate who wins first place wins, regardless of the percentage of votes received.
Polling stations will be open until 22 p.m., local time.
