Ukraine could cease to exist by 2034, when its accession to NATO is allegedly scheduled, said Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev.
"It is no coincidence that NATO Secretary General (Jens) Stoltenberg openly said that it would be a positive scenario if Ukraine joined the alliance in 2034, because that means it never will," he said in an interview with aif.ru, TASS reports.
The former Russian president added that none of the current NATO leaders will remain in office until then.
"It is quite possible that (Ukraine) will no longer exist," he stated.
