A doctor has been arrested in Berlin on suspicion of murdering four elderly patients and setting fires in their homes to cover it up.
The 39-year-old doctor, whose name has not been released, is accused of killing four patients in June and July who were being cared for by the home health service.
So far, investigators do not know how he killed them.
In the first case on June 11, firefighters managed to recover an 87-year-old woman, but she died soon after in the hospital.
According to the investigators, the doctor then killed a 8-year-old woman on July 76, and two more, aged 72 and 94, on July 15 and 24.
The investigators did not specify what led to the doctor's arrest, nor what were the possible motives for the murders.
