The Ukrainian anti-aircraft defense fought against the Russian attack on Kiev for five hours last night, officials announced today.
Missiles and drones again attacked the Ukrainian power grid.
In the attack on Kiev, at least two people were wounded, and a kindergarten, a gas pipeline and about 20 cars were damaged, the military administration announced.
During the night, Russia launched six missiles and 78 "Shahid" drones at Ukraine, Ukrainian forces said, destroying four missiles and 66 drones.
The energy infrastructure was affected in the western Ukrainian region of Ivano-Frankivsk, and in some places there was a power outage, regional governor Svitlana Onishchuk said.
The power grid is also targeted in the southern Nikolaev region, the authorities announced.
In the south, a missile killed a 62-year-old woman in the Odesa region, where houses and cars were damaged, regional governor Oleh Kiper said.
In the city of Zaporizhia, at least eight people were wounded during the night attack, regional governor Ivan Fedorov said.
It was announced that 12 residential buildings were damaged in that city.
