A 23-year-old Chinese man attacked children with a knife today while they were going to day care in Zurich, Switzerland. Three children were injured, one seriously, the city police reported.
The attacker was arrested.
Three injured five-year-old boys, one of them seriously, received first aid and were transferred to the hospital.
For now, the reasons for the attack are unknown. Only the nationality and age of the attacker were revealed.
No one else was injured, a spokesman for the city police told France Press.
According to the first reports, a caregiver was going to the daycare center with several children, shortly after noon, and a young man attacked them with a knife.
The employee in the residence managed to overcome the attacker with the help of a man who was present. They detained the attacker until the police arrived.
