Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced today that he went to the Sumy region, on the border with Russia, where he met with soldiers participating in the battles on the other side of the border in the Russian region of Kursk.
In August, Ukraine launched an offensive on that Russian border area.
"I started my trip today in the Sumy region by meeting our soldiers, guys who are fighting in the Kursk region to defend our border areas and the whole country," Zelensky wrote on Telegram.
Since the beginning of the Russian invasion in February 2022, Zelenski has toured areas near the front more than once.
